Buying Groups are used as a means of associating independent clients (Customers) allowing you to selectively view information based on a nominated Buying Group(s). In particular, the Online Advantage sales analysis system allow for the selection and consolidation of sales figures at the Buying Group level.
Examples
Some typical examples of Buying Groups are:
- Franchise operations
- Trade/Retail/Industry buying groups
- College/Tertiary/University Departments
- Local Government, State, National Departments
Minimum Requirements
The use of Buying Groups is optional so you do not have to set up any.
Changing Established Data
You can add new Buying Groups and change the details of Buying Groups at any time.
Take care when moving a customer from one Buying Group into another. The Sales Summary views showing the sales figures by Buying Group reflect the sales for the Buying Group recorded on the customer at the time of the transaction. You may want to consider changing the customer Buying Group at month end.
