Use this function to open or close a Till when required.
Open Till
If a ‘Till’ is currently closed, you can tick the ‘Open Till’ check box to make the till available for transaction use e.g. for Point-Of-Sale transactions.
Enter the amount of the opening float for the till if you have a starting ‘float’ allocated to the cash drawer.
Click ‘Save’ to complete the action/open the till.
Close Till
If the till is currently open, tick the ‘Close Till’ check box to close the till which prevents it from being used for transactions e.g. Point-Of-Sale transactions. You need to close an open till before you can reconcile it.
Click ‘Save’ to complete the action/close the till.
