A role can be configured to have one or more functions automatically launch when you move into that role. These are referred to as Role ‘Startup Functions’.
If there are no specific startup functions assigned to a role, then the menu for the role is automatically opened.
Note also that if there is only one startup function assigned to a role, that function will launch to the full window screen size available in the desktop
