The ‘Update Contract Pricing’ sub-menu is available for the mass updating of Contract Pricing held in the system. The functions provided assist users with the updating of Contract Prices already held in the system via Upload or Calculate tools. In summary the available functions are:
- Calculate – calculate new Contract Prices
- Review – report on the newly calculated Contract Prices
- Update – confirm and apply new Contract Prices
- Download – download existing Contract Prices
- Upload – upload new Contract Prices
Use these functions to keep your contract prices “current” so that the creep of cost of sales increases doesn’t erode the contribution (Margin/Mark-up) being achieved through with sales.
Calculate
The Calculate function allows you to apply an ‘Adjustment Factor’ up or down to existing Contract Pricing as shown below:
As shown, this function allows you to choose the items with contract prices that you want to re-
calculate. It prompts for a pricing factor to adjust the existing prices with, and also allows a new contract start/end date to be applied to the newly calculated contract prices. Items can be omitted from the run prior to the system calculating the new contract prices.
Review
Run the Revised Contract Price List report to check the details of the new Contract Prices that have been calculated using the factor provided.
Apply
Once you’re happy with the Contract Prices shown on the ‘Review’ report above it’s simply a matter of running the Update function below to apply them to current pricing. It couldn’t be easier!
Download
You can download part, or all of the Contract Prices data in a format that can then be used to upload new pricing. See ‘Upload’ below for more details.
Upload
The ability to use an external tool to prepare a data file of new Contract Pricing has been provided by this Contract Price Upload tool. It allows you to prepare mass contract pricing offline and then upload the data to the system. For more details read this help post: Contract Price Upload
