Order Class Maintenance

Order Class Code

Order class code can be numeric or alpha.

For details on the use of “codes”, see The Role of “Codes” in Online Advantage

Order Class Name

Enter a name to describe what the Order Class code represents. The Order Class name appears on picking dockets and various reports.

For details on descriptions, see The Role of “Names & Descriptions” in Online Advantage

Application

If this Order Class should be the default used on sales orders generated for a particular application, then choose the application here. For instance, if you want to automatically distinguish sales orders that are generated via your e-Commerce portals, choose the appropriate order class type e.g. B2B (for Business to Business) or B2C (for Business to Consumer).

If there is no particular Order Class set up for the application creating the sales order, the default Order Class as defined in System Options will be used.

Default Order Class for Sales Orders

This may be selected on one order class only.

When selected, the order class is set in the System Options as the default order class. Orders created via Sales Order Entry will have the order class set as a default. The Order Class can then be changed during order entry if needed.
